Squeeeee!
One of the earliest blogs I started reading, way back when we were all using AOL Journals as our platform, was Crochet With Dee.
I loved reading about all of the things Dee was up to. She was living the dream. This talented lady had taken her enthusiasm for her craft and managed to make money doing what she loved. Not only is Dee a registered teacher of crochet, but she designs her own patterns and has had them published!
She's also a really nice person who spends a considerable amount of her crochet time doing things for Charity. Every year she does her 60 scarves in 60 days challenge. She makes some really wonderful (and beautiful!) chemo hats that she donates to local hospitals. And, she always seems to be looking for people who can benefit from her big heart and talent.
When we made the crossing, she did also and today blogs at Crocheting With Dee.com where I still follow her.
I'll let Dee introduce herself in her own words:
Hi, I'm Dee Stanziano, crochet teacher, designer, enthusiast. Crochet is my passion, and because of this, many, like Gwen Blakely-Kinsler and Carolyn Christmas call me "The Crochet Cheerleader." I invite you to join me here, and at my website, where I share my passion for the art of crochet. :)
O.K.... now, why am I telling you all about Dee? Well, in addition to the fact that you should be following this nice ladies blog anyway, she was also kind enough to leave the following comment on my last entry.

I love it! Your stitches look fantastic, and the color combo is awesome! Your friend will love this treasure! :)

To have someone like Dee say that my stitches looked good... well... just Squeeeeeee! LOL!
Now, in reward for all of you who have waded thru this entry so I could squee, I offer up another pretty picture of a flower to remind you that, yes, Spring is on the way!

Wow, I just peeked down at your afghan. Gorgeous! I am all thumbs but would love to be able to crochet or knit. I've tried...lol. HUGS
Since I came from a long line of handicraft experts on both sides which skipped me, I am always interested and will probably visit this blog soon. When I go to the Farmer's market it is all I can do to resist the caps and scarves people make that are so cute. I finally picked out one beanie out of 10 I just adored. I understand the attraction but so far I let other people do the work. Gerry
We love afghans. There are usually three scattered around the living room, because we throw them over our laps to keep warm in winter. Oh, and Sadie loves to lay on our laps on an afghan.
Yes, spring is coming. In face, we'll probably be riding the motorcycle tomorrow and Friday.
ROFL!!! Dee has that effect on a LOT of people!!! :) Isn't she just one of the nicest people? And talented too!
Hahaha! Silly lady! Love the flowers. Orchids?
I'm the most un-handy-crafty person ever, but I admire others' work. Lovely photo too.
I adore these spotted orchids! I have never seen anything like them. Dee is wonderful!
Super photo ... like a bath of color!
Really? Spring is on the way?? I don't think it's coming this year. SIGH

There's an award waiting for you at my blog. Come take a peek!
Spring is indeed on the way, and it cant come soon enough for me! I love the picture of the orchid. They are so expensive, and I always look at them at Lowes when we go. Just a couple of days ago my husband found one in a ceramic pot on a clearance rack for nine dollars, originally twenty! So I snagged it up of course. A couple of the flowers looked droopy, but other than that it looked fine. Hugs, Kelly
Gorgeous flowers! Lovely photo! You people who crochet are soooo patient! I admire your work!
Wow; You're so sweet! Keep up the stitchin' -- you're inspiring me!! :)
~Dee
PS: I learned how to "follow" blogs this morning! ((what took me so long??)) I'm looking forward to keeping up w/you on a more timely basis! :)
